Worship
In worship, God’s people encounter the good news of a loving, grace-filled God. Drawing on rich traditions while discovering new practices and styles, people find encouragement and renewal through prayer, music, community, and relevant messages. Ponds is an open and affirming congregation working to ensure that worship is accessible and inclusive to all people of all ages.
Educate and Advocate
Ponds is committed to learning to live out our welcoming statement that ALL people are created in the image of God and called to participate in God’s mission to the world. We do this by actively engaging in opportunities to educate ourselves and the community on issues of social justice, equality, and inclusiveness. This is done by focusing on our relationship with God, with each other, and with the world, through opportunities including intergenerational fellowship, Bible & book studies, worship, food pantry, refugee settlement, Sabbath House, and ecumenical gatherings.

Open & Affirming
For many decades Ponds welcomed everyone. It was a safe place for LGBTQ persons. In 2013 the church went one step further in declaring publicly its support, love and advocacy for LGBTQ persons, couples and families. More than welcoming, Ponds values the LGBTQ person.
Refugees Welcome
In response to the increased attention around the Syrian refugee crisis in particular and the recent increase in hateful, anti-refugee political rhetoric, we opened our doors to welcome all refugees, regardless of their country of origin, religion, or ethnic group.
Assisting Damaged Areas
We go on a mission trip once a year to help an area damaged by a natural disaster. Find out more about our next upcoming trip by emailing Nathan@pondsnj.org.
Gift of Time
